Muhammad Farhan Editya

Junior Backend Developer & Junior Data Analyst

I like the parts of software you don’t see: APIs, schemas, the plumbing that has to just work.

Informatics graduate from Telkom University, GPA 3.82 / 4.00. I write REST APIs in Go, Java (Spring Boot) and PHP (Laravel). My thesis became a first-author paper at ICERA 2026, and for five semesters I taught Go, C++ and Java to classes of 38-40 students.

What keeps me interested is understanding how something works all the way down, i’ll spend a weekend cloning an API just to see how it’s built. Five semesters of teaching left me patient, and a little obsessive about explaining things simply. Away from the screen I run & do gym most mornings; it’s where I end up solving half my problems.

How I got here

A degree in Informatics, then the lab where I taught it, and an internship on a public data platform.

Sep 2022 – Jun 2026

B.Sc. Informatics, Telkom University

Bandung · GPA 3.82 / 4.00

Thesis: Feature Extraction Analysis for Indonesian Cross-Domain Sentiment Analysis. Supervised by Donni Richasdy, S.T., M.T. and Prati Hutari Gani, S.T., M.T.

Coursework: Natural Language Processing · Machine Learning · Data Mining

Jun 2024 – Jun 2026

Practicum Laboratory Assistant

Telkom University (Informatics Lab) · Bandung · Part-time

Lab assistant at the Informatics Lab across five semesters of my degree (semesters 4–8). I helped classes of 38–40 students through weekly practicum sessions in Go (Intro to Programming & Algorithms), C++ (Data Structures), and Java (Object-Oriented Programming), walking through the material, helping people who got stuck, and grading their work each week.

Stack: Go, C++, Java

Jun 2025 – Aug 2025

UI/UX Design Intern

Pusat Sumber Daya Mineral, Batubara dan Panas Bumi (PSDMBP) · Bandung · Internship (Kerja Praktik)

I redesigned GeoRIMA, a public site run by the Geological Agency (Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources) that presents Indonesia’s natural-resource data from national down to regency level. I audited the old interface, reorganized the navigation across pages templates, and built Figma prototypes that shortened the path from the landing page to the actual commodity data for two quite different audiences, the general public and geology professionals. I handed the prototypes to the dev team through weekly reviews.
